Event overview
Chariots of Fire September 2025 is a road-closed relay race held in Cambridge with the start and finish on Queen's Green, Queen's Road, Cambridge CB3 9AH. The 2025 event supports Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. The event has previously raised over £1.5 million for local charities. Team entry categories listed include Male, Female, Mixed, Veteran, Super Veteran and College teams, with a team entry fee of £150.
Race format and what is included
The race is run as a six-person relay. Each runner completes one lap of the course, approximately 3 km, before handing over to the next team member. The route follows a loop through Cambridge city centre and passes some of the university colleges.
Included with entry are a unique themed medal, free official race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. The event provides marshals on course and an event village with food and drink options and partner-provided free items. There is an optional T-shirt available through the event partner RT Kit; the shirt has a retail value of £22 and is offered for £12 with the event logo printed on the chest.
