Chariots of Fire : Cambridge charitable relay
Chariots of Fire is a charitable relay race held in Cambridge on 20 September 2026. The event takes place around Queen's Road and is presented in partnership between HCR Law and RunThrough. Historically the series has raised more than £1.6 million for local charities.
The format is a team relay with one lap per runner; teams may include friends, colleagues, clubs and families. The 2026 event is fundraising for the British Heart Foundation. Entry fees cover the cost of staging the event and include a donation to the charity, and teams are encouraged to set up fundraising pages in support of the chosen charity.
Event services and included items listed for entrants comprise a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post-race goodies. Each kilometre on the course is marked with distance flags and marshals are present to guide and cheer runners. An event village provides food and drink options and free partner goodies at the finish.
