Chariots of Fire
Chariots of Fire is a charitable relay race held in Cambridge. This event is a long-standing city tradition that brings together teams of friends, colleagues, clubs, and families to support local causes. The race is organized by RunThrough in partnership with HCR Hewitsons.
The event is designed as a relay where each participant completes one lap. For the 2026 edition, the official charity partner is the British Heart Foundation. The entry fee contributes to the costs of staging the event and includes a donation to the chosen charity. Historically, this relay has raised more than £1.5 million for various charitable organizations.
The course features accurate distance flags at every kilometre and is staffed by marshals to guide participants toward the finish line. An event village is located on-site, providing various food and drink options for participants and spectators.
