Event Overview
The Chapman Farm St. Patrick's Day Fun Run and Walk is the third annual edition of this community event. It takes place in Crofton, Maryland, starting and finishing at the Chapman Farm Clubhouse. The event is sponsored by the Chapman Farm Homeowners Association Social Committee.
Events and Course
Participants can choose from three events:
- Chapman Farm Fun Run
- Chapman Farm Fun Walk
- VIRTUAL Chapman Farm Fun Run or Walk
The run course involves completing two laps around the neighborhood, while the walk is a single loop. Strollers are permitted for walkers but not for runners. Registration closes before the event day, as there is no on-site registration. It is a rain-or-shine event with no refunds.
Participant Benefits and Awards
All participants receive a finisher's medal and a variety of items, including a custom Chapman Farm silicone cup (for the first 200 registrants), pizza, candy, hydration samples, coupons, chips, bananas, and more. Awards are given to age group winners in the run. The top male and female finishers in the run each receive a prize basket valued at $75.
Community Aspects
The event concludes with a community potluck. A raffle is held for participants who donate $10 or more or purchase an item from the event store, with prizes including gift cards, tickets, and subscriptions. Packet pick-up is available on the morning of the event at the clubhouse.
