2026 Champaign Aruna Run
The Champaign Aruna Run is a 5K family friendly run and walk held on October 17, 2026, at the University of Illinois Arboretum, 1800 South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. The event supports the Aruna Project; 100% of registration fees go to programs that work to free, employ, and empower trafficked women.
Registration tiers are published for the event: $37 from June 14 to September 13, $42 from September 14 to October 11, and $47 from October 12 to October 17. Participants who register by September 20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and size. Volunteer registration is offered at no cost.
Event amenities and logistics include parking at the Arboretum, street parking, and the College of Veterinary Medicine parking lot. Race swag for the year includes an Aruna Beach Bag made by Aruna Artisans and a District Tri-Blend tee in Army Green; the t-shirt and bag feature the names of ten women the series raises funds for.
Awards and fundraising incentives are part of the event. The top male and female finishers receive an Aruna Dopp Kit and a $50 Aruna Shop gift card; the top fundraiser receives the same. Team and fundraising rewards include $25 Aruna gift cards for building teams and for individual fundraising milestones: teams earn a $25 gift card for every ten people who join, and individuals earn a $25 gift card for every $250 raised.
