Champaign Aruna Run - University of Illinois Arboretum
The Champaign Aruna Run is a 5K family-friendly run and walk held on October 17, 2026, at the University of Illinois Arboretum, 1800 South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, Illinois. The event directs 100 percent of registration fees to Aruna, an international nonprofit that works to free, employ, and empower survivors of human trafficking. Funds support training centers and the Freedom Business.
Registration opens June 14 with tiered pricing periods. Participants who register by September 20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and size. Volunteer registration is offered at no cost.
Packet pickup and walk-up registration are available on event day at the Arboretum. Parking options include the Arboretum lot, street parking, and the College of Veterinary Medicine parking lot. Race timing is provided by Race Penguin.
Awards are given to the top female and male finishers and to the top fundraiser; prizes include an Aruna Dopp Kit and a $50 Aruna Shop gift card. Team and fundraising incentives include Aruna gift cards for team building and individual fundraising milestones. Event swag includes an Aruna Beach Bag made by Aruna Artisans and a District Tri-Blend T-shirt in Army Green.
Dogs are not permitted to participate in the race. Strollers are allowed and should start toward the back to ensure participant safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
