Challenge Peak - Abu Dhabi
Challenge Peak is a time-capped, multi-station fitness challenge held at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The event combines running, strength, power, conditioning and endurance across a sequence of ten mandatory stations with the clock running throughout. The course opens with a 650 m run (two laps around the pitch) and finishes with a 500 m RowErg for individuals (teams complete longer distances on some stations).
Stations include weighted sandbag lunges and cleans, burpee jump-to-targets, SkiErg, Dumbbell Thrusters, Battle Rope skipping, Assault Bike efforts, Devil Press repetitions, and rowing. Prescribed weights are given for male, female and mixed team divisions at specific stations (for example sandbag lunges: male 32 kg, female 23 kg; sandbag cleans: male 45 kg, female 23 kg). Repetition counts and erg distances are specified per station. Teams complete longer erg distances where noted.
A bonus Dead Hang station offers time deductions from an athlete’s final race time: a minimum qualifying hang is one minute for a 20-second deduction, with additional full minutes yielding further 20-second deductions while the athlete continues to hang.
Categories have published time caps for Elite and Advanced divisions, while Open - Community categories have no time cap. Prize money exceeds 40,000 AED. Included for participants are timing, certificate, photos, live results, a medal, refreshments and a goody bag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
