- Half Marathon
- 5 km
- 1 Mile Mad Dash
The half marathon ascends a continuous but gradual climb up Baldwin Creek Road and then descends Squaw Creek Road, offering views of green fields, winding creeks, red bluffs, the Lander foothills, and the Wind River Mountains. The 5 km course follows the Riverwalk, passes through town to McMannis and City Park, and joins the half marathon route to finish down 5th Street. The 1 Mile Mad Dash is an out-and-back on Main Street and is focused on children; one adult may accompany a child if needed. Routes and distances are subject to change.
Logistics include tiered registration pricing that increases across three periods with set fees for the 1 Mile, 5 km, and half marathon. Packet pickup is encouraged prior to the event at Lander Bake Shop on July 3; race‑morning pickup is available but new registrations will not be accepted on race day. There is no bag drop.
A scholarship program offers first-come, first-served discounts up to 100% for qualifying applicants, with an application window from April 1 through May 1. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in the half marathon and 5K, and all finishers receive a medal. Dogs are discouraged but must be leashed if present; roller skates, scooters, and similar equipment are not allowed. Results are posted online after the event. Evening fireworks and a parade are part of the day’s community activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
