Sinks Canyon Trail Races
The Sinks Canyon Trail Races start and finish in Sinks Canyon, the corridor to Wyoming's Wind River Mountains. Scenery along the courses includes wildflower meadows, snow and ice covered peaks, deep canyons, expansive views, and varied singletrack trails.
The event is hosted by the Lander Running Club, a community based organization for and by runners. Multiple race distances are offered to reflect different course types and terrain.
- 50 km mountain course entering the Wind River Mountains
- 18 km includes steep climbs, forest singletrack, and open meadows
- 6 km follows the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River with varied geology
- Kids 1 km out and back along Middle Fork Popo Agie River for kids 12 and under
Registration opens October 13 and closes the Tuesday of race week at 11:59 PM. Registration is managed through UltraSignup; entrants may edit their registration or cancel via their account. Cancellations made at least 30 days before the race receive rollover credit for the following year and using rollover credit requires re registration before capacity is reached.
