Event overview
Centurion Track 100 is a 100 mile (100mi / 160.934 km) track race scheduled for 1 January 2027 at Bedford International Athletics Stadium. The event takes place on a 400 metre all-weather track and is certified and overseen to UKA standards with a UKA referee, a UKA Level 4 timekeeper and a UKA permit. The race holds IAU Gold Labels for the main distance and all ratified splits. The total cut-off for the 100 mile distance is 17 hours. The published entry fee is £215.
Format, support and entry
The course uses lanes 1-3 on the track; runners change direction every four hours with a final change at 12 hours for the final five-hour period. Official splits and record-eligible marks are taken at:
- 50 km
- 50 miles
- 100 km
- 6 hours
- 12 hours
Electronic timing is used with a secondary timing system and live video. Anti-doping controls apply for World or Continental Open Records. A full aid station will provide food and drinks; crews are permitted to set up on the infield and may access fluids and food but must remain stationary when handing items in line with IAU rules. Medical support and course marking are provided. Entry is by invitation or qualification only; the field is limited to 25 entries with an anticipated 15-20 starters.
