Centurion Track 100
The Centurion Track 100 is an elite, record-focused 100 mile track event held on 1 Jan 2027 at Bedford International Athletics Stadium. The race centres on the 100 mile distance and records ratifiable splits at several intermediate marks.
Recorded split distances include:
- 50 km
- 50 mile
- 100 km
- 6 hour
- 12 hour
- 100 mile
Each of the six split distances holds an IAU Gold Label. The course will be officially measured and certified under UKA standards, overseen by a UKA referee and a UKA Level 4 time keeper, and will operate anti-doping procedures for any World or Continental Open Records.
The course is a 400 metre all weather track. Runners use lanes 1, 2 and 3 and change running direction every four hours, with the final direction change occurring at 12 hours elapsed. The overall race cut off is 17 hours. Electronic timing is used at the start and finish with a second timing system and live video of the event to ensure splits are record eligible.
Entry is by invitation or qualification only and is limited to 25 entrants, with an expectation of 15 to 20 starters. The entry fee is £215. Crews are permitted inside the infield in designated areas and must remain stationary when handing items to or communicating with runners, in line with IAU rules. A full aid station will supply food and drinks and crews may access fluids and food for their runners. Awards are presented to first overall in the men's and women's events only.
