Centurion Track 100
The Centurion Track 100 is an elite, record-focused 100 mile track event held at Bedford International Athletics Stadium. The competition runs on a certified 400 metre all-weather track and is conducted in lanes 1, 2 and 3. The course is officially measured and overseen by UKA officials and holds a UKA permit. Anti-doping procedures apply for any World or Continental open records.
The event takes official, ratifiable splits at multiple distances and holds IAU Gold Label status for each of those splits. Electronic timing is used at the start-finish line, backed by a second timing system and live video. A full aid station provides food and drinks for all runners; crews may set up on the infield and access fluids and food for their runners while remaining stationary when handing items in line with IAU rules. Medical support is provided.
Entry is by invitation or qualification only. The field is limited to 25 entries and organisers anticipate around 15 to 20 starters. Qualifying standards are published for men and women across several endurance distances and times; organisers may also accept petitions based on other performances. The total event cut-off for the 100 mile distance is 17 hours.
