About the race
The Centurion Track 100 is a record-focused 100 mile track event held at Bedford International Athletics Stadium on a 400 metre all‑weather track. The course is officially measured and certified under UKA standards, overseen by a UKA referee and a UKA Level 4 time keeper, and holds a UKA permit. Electronic timing is used with a second timing system and live video to ensure splits are record eligible. Anti-doping controls apply for any World or Continental Open Records.
The event limits entries and is by invitation or qualification only. Entry is limited to 25 runners and the entry fee is £215. The race uses a 17 hour total cut off for the 100 mile distance. Runners use lanes 1, 2 and 3 and change running direction every four hours; a final direction change occurs at 12 hours for the last five hours. Crews may set up on the infield in designated areas and must remain stationary when handing items or communicating with a runner in line with IAU rules.
A full aid station and on-site medical support are provided. Split times are officially recorded at multiple distances to allow record ratification.
