Centurion Track 100
The Centurion Track 100 is an elite level, record focused 100 mile track event held at Bedford International Athletics Stadium. The race concentrates on creating conditions suitable for ratified record attempts, with official splits recorded and eligible for ratification.
The event features a certified 400 metre all weather track course overseen by UKA officials and timing staff. Electronic timing, a second timing system and live video are used to ensure split times meet UKA, IAU and World Athletics requirements. Anti doping is in place for any World or Continental open records.
Key race attributes include a 17 hour overall cut off and running in lanes 1 to 3. Runners change direction every four hours, with a final direction change at 12 hours for the last five hours. Crews may set up in designated infield areas and must remain stationary when handing items to runners in line with IAU rules. A full aid station will provide a range of food and drinks; crews can also access fluids and food for their runners. Medical support is provided and the course is marked.
Entry is by invitation or qualification only. The field is limited to 25 entries with organisers expecting a smaller starting field. Qualifying standards are published for men and women and nonstandard performances may be considered on application.
