South Downs Way 10km
The South Downs Way 10km is a trail race held around the private Matterley Estate in the South Downs National Park. It runs alongside a 5km event and takes place the evening before the South Downs Way 50km and South Downs Way 100. Registration, race start and finish are at Matterley Bowl.
The course is fully marked with pink tyvek ribbons and pink Centurion arrows, and marshals will assist at key junctions. The race is held under a UK Athletics permit through the TRA; the permit number is pending. Medical support is provided on the day. There are no aid stations on course.
Key event details include a distance of 10 km (6.25 miles), total ascent of about 230 m (750 ft), and a cut off time of 1.5 hours. Entry is limited to 200 starters. The entry fee is £25 (£27 unaffiliated) and places are offered on a first come, first served basis. Minimum age is 16 on race day. All finishers receive a medal, and prizes and goodies are supplied by race sponsors.
