Event Overview
The Centurion South Downs Way 50 is a 50 mile point-to-point foot race that follows the South Downs Way National Trail. The course begins in Worthing and finishes in Eastbourne.
Course Details
The route starts with approximately six miles on chalk footpaths and bridleways, climbing to join the South Downs Way at Chanctonbury Ring. From there, the course remains on the trail for the final 44 miles, identical to the last section of the SDW100. The race concludes with a lap on the track in Eastbourne. It is the 14th edition of this event and the first race in the 2026 50 Mile Grand Slam series of four ultramarathons.
Entry Information
The entry fee is £117.00, with a discounted fee of £115.00 for UKA members. Entrants must be 20 years of age or older on the event date. Entries for the 2026 event opened on April 26, 2025, and close on March 14, 2026. As of the source publication, the event is full, and new entries are placed on a waiting list.
