South Downs Way 50
The South Downs Way 50 is a 50 mile foot race. It takes place on Saturday 11th April 2026.
The event follows the South Downs Way National Trail. It begins in Worthing. The first six miles are on chalk footpaths and bridleways, climbing up to join the South Downs Way at Chanctonbury Ring. The remainder of the course is identical to the final 44 miles of the SDW100. The route stays on the South Downs Way until the final turn-off. The race finishes with a lap of the track in Eastbourne.
It is the 14th annual edition of this race. It is the first event in the 2026 50 Mile Grand Slam of four 50-mile events.
The minimum age for participants is 20 years old on the event date. Entry is managed via a waiting list. The entry fee is £117.00, with a discounted fee of £115.00 for UKA-affiliated runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
