Central Valley Warrior 5K
The event is based at the Walter R. & Lois A. Sylvester Wellness Center at Central Valley High School, 160 Baker Road Extension, Monaca, PA 15061. It includes a chip timed 5K running race that offers overall awards for male and female finishers and age group awards for top three finishers in each age group. A fun walk is also offered; the walk is not chip timed and is not eligible for age group awards. The walking event name refers to a one mile or a 5K option.
The planned course begins at the high school football field, continues onto Baker Road, passes CCBC, goes to Center Grange Elementary, and returns to the Central Valley High School campus ending at the Wellness Center. The event is organized to raise funds to provide health and wellness equipment for community members and students of the Central Valley School District and to connect wellness education with recreation.
Registration opens on October 7, 2026. The public registration fee is listed as $25. Registration for the chip timed 5K closes on February 12, 2027 while registration for the fun walk closes on April 13, 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
