Central Lancashire New Year's Half Marathon
The Central Lancashire New Year’s Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 10 January 2027 and is a road race of 13.1 miles that starts and finishes at the Marriott Hotel in Broughton, Preston (Delta Hotels by Marriott Preston, Garstang Road, PR3 5JB). The course is a single large loop on quiet country roads and rural lanes, passing open countryside and offering largely rural surroundings.
Entry fees are listed as £30.00 UKA and £32.00 standard. Parking is available at the hotel with additional on-street parking where permitted; parking is at the owner’s risk and the hotel car park may be busy on race morning. The event base houses registration, bib collection and toilets. Bib collection opens at 7:30am and race numbers are arranged in surname order. Portable toilets are provided near Event HQ. A baggage area and a key drop facility are available; all items are left at the owner’s risk.
Water stations are staffed at 3, 6 and 10 miles, with water also supplied at the finish. Professional medical support is available for the duration of the event. The race is chip timed and the timing chip is attached to the race number; results are published online and available via myFCR. Official race photos are normally available within 24 to 48 hours. Headphones are not permitted.
Individual awards are given for the top three men and top three ladies and for veteran age categories. Prize vouchers are emailed to winners after the event.
