Celebrate West Hartford FUNd Runs
The Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd Runs are part of the town's outdoor festival and include a timed 5K road race and a non-timed Kids' K. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Leisure Services Scholarship Fund to help children from low-income families attend swimming lessons, vacation camps, and other programs.
The 5K course begins in the center of West Hartford on South Main Street near the Noah Webster statue, passes local landmarks and neighborhoods, continues onto Craigmoor Road and the Trout Brook Trail, then returns via Memorial Road and past the Delamar Hotel to a finish between Raymond and Isham Roads. The 5K course is USATF certified #CT24001JHP.
The Kids' K is a non-timed 1K (0.62 mile) run that follows about 1 3/4 loops around Blue Back Square. Registered participants age 10 and under receive a medal.

Race-day parking is available in Isham Garage and Town Center Garage. Fees from the source include a tiered 5K fee and a separate Kids' K fee. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet, 1003 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, where registration is also offered. A limited number of event t-shirts are produced from a student design contest; 5K registrants who register by late May are guaranteed a shirt. Awards, trophies, and random drawings are part of the post-race reception and awards ceremony. All dates and times are subject to change.
