Celebrate West Hartford FUNd Runs
The Celebrate West Hartford FUNd Runs take place during the town's two-day outdoor Celebrate! West Hartford festival. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Leisure Services Scholarship Fund to help children from low-income families afford lessons, camps, and other programs.
Distances offered:
- 5K: USATF certified road race through West Hartford center and Trout Brook Trail.
- Kids' K: non-timed 1K around Blue Back Square; medals for registered children 10 and under.
The 5K course begins in the center of West Hartford on South Main Street near the Noah Webster statue. The route passes historical landmarks and homes, turns onto Craigmoor Road, then follows the Trout Brook Trail before returning via Memorial Road and finishing between Raymond and Isham Roads. The course is USATF certified #CT24001JHP.
Registration and check-in occur at the Town Hall Parking Lot, 50 South Main Street, West Hartford. Fees are listed by category on the event page; packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet, 1003 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, with times to be announced. Free race-day parking is available in Isham Garage and Town Center Garage; road closures may affect access during the Kids' K.
5K registrants who register by the specified deadline are guaranteed a moisture-wicking event t-shirt. A post-race reception and awards ceremony is held in the Town Hall Parking Lot.
