18th Annual Celebrate Pink 5K Run & Walk
The Celebrate Pink 5K Run & Walk is an annual event held in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that honors individuals who have faced breast cancer. Now in its 18th year, the event brings together the community to provide financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families throughout the seacoast of New Hampshire and southern Maine. The event is organized by My Breast Cancer Support, a local non-profit organization.
Participants can choose between several registration tiers to support different initiatives, such as Patient Financial Assistance Grants or gift cards for the Hope Chest at partnering cancer centers. These specialized registration levels include:
- 5K Run & Walk (In-person)
- 5K Virtual Option
The in-person course takes place near the Portsmouth Middle School on Parrott Avenue and showcases the local seacoast area. Those opting for the virtual participation can complete a 5K distance at a location of their choice and have the option to submit their times upon completion. All online registrants are entered into a raffle for a hard cooler.
The event is open to various age groups, including a specific category for youth under 14. Registration for the in-person event is available online until the Wednesday before the race, with day-of registration also available at the venue. Bib and shirt pick-up is offered the day before the event at the middle school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
