Cedar 5K & 1 Mile

The Cedar 5K & 1 Mile takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama. The event is based at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church, 836 8th St. South, Birmingham, AL 35205. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, April 17 at the same location.

Entry fees include cotton short-sleeve shirts and a race goodie bag for the first 200 registrants. Available sizes are Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large, and adult sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL.

Awards and team information are provided for 5K participants. 5K awards include top overall male and female and top three male and female in standard 10-year age groups. Fun Run participants receive individual finisher awards. Team awards include Largest Team, Fastest Team, and Team Spirit. To qualify as a team there must be five or more participants registered under the team name by April 15, 2026.

The event supports Food for Our Journey; all proceeds go to that organization. Fundraisers who raise $250 may receive their entry fee back if they register and sign up as individual fundraisers. RaceJoy will be available for live phone tracking and GPS progress alerts.

Safety and policies: unregistered participants are not permitted on course, bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt for recorded times, pets are not allowed on the racecourse or start area and must be leashed if present, and strollers should start from the back of the field. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; in the event of an extreme cancellation proceeds will be used as a donation to Food for Our Journey.
