Catch Me If You Can 5K - Plant City
This event is a themed 5 kilometer run held at the Plant City Police Headquarters, 1 Police Center Dr, Plant City, Florida, on April 24, 2027. The course is organized as two loops; participants must cross the start and finish line three times to be counted as finishers.
Runners receive a finisher medal. Water is available at 1.5 miles and at the finish line, and organizers encourage participants to bring their own hydration for the course. Post-race donuts will be provided.
The event includes scenarios where runners begin with a head start before local police officers pursue them. The program notes a special segment where a participant can compete to outrun the Mayor. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, the top three male and female masters, and the top three male and female law enforcement finishers. Age group awards for first through third place male and female are listed for 14 and under, 15 to 19, then 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
