The Catalina Island Marathon, 10K, 5K takes place on March 14, 2026 in Avalon, Catalina Island, CA 90704. The 2026 race is the 48th annual running and is described as California’s State Off-Road Marathon Championship and the oldest trail marathon in the state. The course runs through the Catalina Island Conservancy on trails and terrain located on the island off the coast of Los Angeles.

Published entry fees include $199.25 (marathon), $66.60 (10K), $53.00 (5K), and $27.50 (Kids Run); some fees shown include event service charges. The marathon registration lists an age eligibility range of 16 to 100. The Kids Run is open to ages 3 to 13. Several events have announced planned price increases after December 28, 2025; the Kids Run fee increase is noted after March 3, 2026. A multi-event option called the Catalina Island TRIPLE CROWN Challenge is offered and combines the 2026 Catalina Island Marathon, the 2026 Catalina Island Half Marathon, and the 2027 Avalon 50M/50K; a current price is shown for this challenge. Organizers announced the 2026 race date moved from March 7 to March 14 and provided options to keep an entry on the new date or defer to 2027.
