Castleknock 5K

The Castleknock 5K is a community-focused running event held in Dublin 15. The event marks its 12th year in 2026 and takes place at the Gate Lodge on College Road in Castleknock. The race is organized entirely by volunteers and serves as a gathering for the local community and families.

Participants will cover a distance of 5 km. The event structure includes categories for adults and participants under the age of 16. Registration is conducted online, and specific incentives are provided for early entrants, with race t-shirts allocated to the first 1000 people who sign up.

The event operates on a non-profit basis, with proceeds from the run distributed to local organizations. For the 2026 edition, 30% of the profits are designated for St. Francis Hospice. The remaining 70% of the funds will support the Metro Saint Brigids Athletic Club. The permit for the event is currently pending approval.
