Lough Cutra Castle Multisport Event
The Lough Cutra Castle Multisport Event is a weekend of races held on the grounds of Lough Cutra Castle in County Galway. The event programme includes triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim and run races, with options ranging from starter to elite distances. Open water swims take place on the estate lake.
The event is sanctioned by Triathlon Ireland; competitors in triathlon and multisport races must hold a valid membership licence or purchase a Triathlon Ireland One Day Membership. A Mixed Team Relay is scheduled on Saturday 23 May as part of the weekend programme.
A festival village operates throughout the weekend with live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment and yoga. Photographers are positioned around the course, finish area, prize giving and event village and official digital images are available for pre-order. Event partners provide services such as wetsuit hire, on-course fuelling, recovery facilities and merchandise.
