Lough Cutra Castle Multisport Event : County Galway
Lough Cutra Castle Multisport Event takes place on the estate grounds around Lough Cutra Castle in County Galway. The castle sits beside the estate’s 1,000 acre lake, which is used for the event’s open-water swims. The event weekend includes a festival village with live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment and yoga.
A wide range of races is offered across triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim and run disciplines. Youth categories are included with specified swim, bike and run distances, and notes on surface types for some courses.
The event is sanctioned by Triathlon Ireland; competitors must hold a valid membership licence or purchase a Triathlon Ireland One Day Membership. Event services and facilities include wetsuit hire, official event photography, event merchandise, medal personalization options and coaching packages. A family campsite is available in the castle grounds with pitches starting at £30. The event also partners with a charity and provides options for fundraising and charity places.
