CASA Superhero 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run : McAlester
The event on October 24, 2026 supports San Bois CASA, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides trained advocates for abused and neglected children and has operated for about 20 years. This is the fifth annual edition and is based near 2nd & Choctaw in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Distances offered
- 5K out/loop/back course that passes through Chadick Park.
- 1 Mile fun run along a route blocked from traffic.
The 5K is chip timed and participants are asked to line up according to expected finish times, with faster runners at the front and walkers at the back. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate in the 5K. The 5K route will not be closed to traffic in some sections. The 1 Mile encourages costume dress for participants.
Participant shirts and finisher awards will be provided on race day. Custom awards will be given for first, second, and third place in each age group. Snacks will be available after the 5K. Registration offers a t-shirt for those who register by October 9.
Packet pick up will be available on the Friday and Saturday before the event at specified locations on East Choctaw in McAlester. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
