CASA Superhero 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run : McAlester, OK
The event is the 5th annual CASA Superhero Run supporting San Bois CASA, a 501(c)(3) organization that has provided trained advocates for abused and neglected children for 20 years. The 5K begins and ends near 2nd & Choctaw in McAlester, Oklahoma, and follows an out/loop/back course that goes through Chadick Park.

The 5K is chip timed; participants line up according to expected finish times, with fastest runners at the front and walkers at the back. Children must be at least six years old to enter the 5K. The 1 Mile Fun Run will have a course blocked from traffic and encourages participants to wear costumes.
Registration opens July 27 and closes October 10. Registration fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 Mile. Register by October 9 to be eligible for an event t-shirt. Participant shirts and finisher awards are provided on race day. Custom awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group. Snacks are provided after the run.
