Event overview
The Mobile Marathon takes place on January 11, 2026 in Mobile, Alabama. The weekend program includes a Full Marathon, a Half Marathon, full and half marathon relay teams, and a Fun Run. The Full Marathon course is a double loop of the Half Marathon course and the course has a 7 hour time limit. All events benefit the First Light Community Foundation of Mobile, which creates homes where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life together. Walters Controls is the title sponsor and Infirmary Health is the presenting sponsor.
Race format, location and registration
Races start and finish at Mardi Gras Park, 104 Royal St, Mobile, AL. Relay formats are: 5-person teams for the Full Marathon and 2-person teams for the Half Marathon. Divisions for relays include Open, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, Organization, High School and Grade School, with all-male, all-female and coed categories. Early registration opened December 1, 2025; most events show a lower fee through January 1, 2026 and higher fees through January 9, 2026. Listed race fees include, for example, the Full Marathon at $135.00 (early) and $160.00 (late), the Half Marathon at $85.00 (early) and $100.00 (late), relay entries at $55.00 (early) and $60.00 (late), and the Fun Run at $20.00.
