Carrera de las Catrinas
Carrera de las Catrinas is a 5K run/walk held on November 1, 2026 in Round Lake Park, Illinois. The event takes place at 329 Greenwood Dr and follows a community-focused format inspired by Día de los Muertos. Proceeds support scholarships for graduating seniors of Round Lake Senior High School.
Registration details include opening and closing dates and tiered fees: registration opens August 20, 2026 and closes November 1, 2026; the fee is $43.00 for participants 18 and over and $23.00 for participants 17 and under. Registrants who register by October 15 are guaranteed an event T-shirt size; sizes after that date are available while supplies last. Registration includes a T-shirt and tamal with champurrado.
Pre-race packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, October 30 at 121 E. Main Street, Round Lake Park, IL. Race day packet pick up is available on the event day. The event lists age group awards with categories for 10 and under, 11-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
