Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26
Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26 is a community 5K and fall festival at 91 Clubhouse Drive, Sanford, NC, on November 21, 2026. The event is open to Carolina Lakes residents and their guests and offers a 5K run and walk option.
The course is an out-and-back route that begins at the clubhouse parking lot, turns right onto Carolina Way, reaches a halfway turnaround just past the intersection of Cedar and Canterbury, and returns to the clubhouse for the finish. A course map and parking information are provided for participants.
A fall festival follows the run. Post-race offerings listed include a guided stretch with a CL yoga instructor, food trucks serving hot beverages and snacks, community vendors, and family-oriented fall activities for children.
Registration pricing is shown in early and late periods. Early bird individual registration is $30 until October 31; late individual registration is $40 from November 1 to 21. A processing fee of $4.09 is shown on listings. Family packages charge for two primary registrants with additional family members receiving 50 percent off (for families of 3 to 8). Student and school team pricing is available for groups registering together with a minimum of ten participants (early and late tiered pricing applies).
There is a limited number of race shirts: the first 175 racers who register before October 31 are guaranteed a shirt; later registrants may not receive a shirt and on-site purchase options may be available.
