Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26
Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26 is a family friendly 5k and fall festival at the Carolina Lakes Clubhouse, 91 Clubhouse Drive, Sanford, NC, on November 21, 2026. The event invites Carolina Lakes residents and their guests to run or walk the course and take part in the community activities.
The course is an out-and-back that begins at the clubhouse parking lot, turns right onto Carolina Way, reaches a halfway turnaround just past the intersection of Cedar and Canterbury, and returns to the clubhouse for the finish. The layout is described as a straightforward neighborhood route starting and ending at the clubhouse.
After the 5k, the fall festival offers a post race stretch led by a CL Yoga instructor, food trucks serving hot beverages and snacks, community vendors, and family activities for children. Race shirts are limited: the first 175 racers who register before October 31 will receive a race t-shirt; registrants after November 1 may not receive a shirt if the allotment has been issued. Options to purchase shirts on site may be available.
