Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26
The Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26 is a family friendly 5k run and walk and accompanying fall festival at the Carolina Lakes clubhouse in Sanford, North Carolina on November 21, 2026. The event takes place at 91 Clubhouse Drive and is open to Carolina Lakes residents and their guests.
The course is an out and back that begins in the clubhouse parking lot, turns right onto Carolina Way, reaches a halfway turnaround just past the intersection of Cedar and Canterbury, and returns to the clubhouse for the finish. A course map, parking details at the clubhouse, and road closure information are provided for participants.
Post race offerings include a guided stretch with the CL Yoga instructor, hot beverages and snacks available from food trucks, and community vendors with fall activities geared toward kids and families. Race shirts are limited; the first 175 registrants before October 31 will receive a shirt and registrants after November 1 may not receive one if shirts are exhausted. Processing fees apply to registration.
Registration pricing listed for the event includes early bird and late tiers. Individual registration is listed at $30 during early registration and $40 during late registration.
