Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot
The Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot is a family friendly 5k and fall festival held on November 21, 2026 at 91 Clubhouse Drive, Sanford, NC. The event is organized for Carolina Lakes residents and their guests and includes running and walking options over a measured 5k course.
The course is an out-and-back that begins in the clubhouse parking lot, turns right onto Carolina Way, and reaches a halfway turnaround just past the intersection of Cedar and Canterbury before returning to the clubhouse for the finish. The event site also hosts a fall festival with community vendors and family activities.
Post-race activities include a guided stretch session with a CL Yoga instructor and food trucks offering hot beverages and snacks. Race shirts are limited; the first 175 registrants before October 31 will receive a race t-shirt. Additional shirt purchase options may be available on site.
Registration pricing is tiered. Early bird individual registration is $30 plus processing fees through October 31. A family package charges $30 for the first two family members with additional family members at 50 percent of that price. Student and school team registration is available for groups of at least ten at $15 per team member during the early period.
