Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26
Carolina Lakes Turkey Trot '26 is a community event at 91 Clubhouse Drive in Sanford on November 21, 2026. The event features a family friendly 5k run and walk and a fall festival with community vendors and activities for children and families.
The 5k course is an out and back that begins at the clubhouse parking lot, turns right onto Carolina Way, has a halfway turnaround just past the intersection of Cedar and Canterbury, and returns to the clubhouse for the finish. After the race, participants can take part in a post race stretch led by a CL Yoga instructor and there will be hot beverages and snacks available from food trucks.
Registration pricing is tiered. Early bird individual registration is $30 until October 31, with a family package structure where two entrants pay the base fee and additional family members receive a 50 percent reduction; student and school team pricing is available with a minimum team size. Late registration rates apply from November 1 through November 21. A limited number of race shirts are available; the first 175 registrants before October 31 will receive a shirt and shirts may not be available for later registrants.
