Carl's 5K

Carl's 5K is a memorial 5K run/walk held in Racine, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event honors Carl Granetzke and follows one of his practice routes.

The course starts at Case High School near North Beach and follows the Pike River Pathway. Runners and walkers use a paved bike trail that heads north from the school and passes scenic river views.

Awards and finisher items are provided. The top three male and female finishers in each five year age group receive recognition pins. All finishers receive a finisher's medal from Carl's personal collection (assigned at random), a commemorative pin for the lanyard, a complimentary beer for participants 21 and older, a goodie bag, and entry into a post-race raffle.

The event includes both individual entries and a remote runner category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
