25th Annual Caring Together Teal Ribbon Run/Walk
The event takes place Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Washington Park in Albany. It is coordinated by Caring Together, Inc. and brings together survivors, advocates and caregivers to walk and run in support of ovarian cancer awareness and research.
Proceeds support research toward an early detection test and more effective treatment options for women with recurrent ovarian cancer. The 2025 Run and Walk raised over $80,000. Funds support local research at Albany Medical College, a monthly survivor support group offered in person and virtually, Survivors Teaching Students initiatives that educate nursing students on the signs of ovarian cancer, and other educational outreach activities.
Distances and entry fees:
- 5k - $30 adult; $10 child 12 and under
- 1 mile - $30 adult; $10 child 12 and under
Race packet and T-shirt pick up will be in Albany on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the American Cancer Society Hope Club, 1 Penny Lane, Latham NY 12110. Team captains are encouraged to pick up for entire teams. Organizers will not ship packets and shirts except by special arrangement for large groups. Registrants who register by August 24 at 11:59 p.m. are guaranteed a race shirt in their selected size; day of pick up is available but not encouraged. Special team awards recognize the largest team and largest fundraisers.
