Captain Jack Casey Memorial 5K
The Captain Jack Casey Memorial 5K is a community athletic event held in Dover, New Hampshire. The race takes place at St Thomas Aquinas High School, located at 197 Dover Point Road. This event is part of the Dover Race Series and serves as a fundraiser for the Jack T Casey STEM Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund supports secondary education scholarships for local high school seniors, students at technical colleges, and cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
The event features two primary participation options:
- 5k Run/Walk: A standard distance course for individuals attending in person.
- Virtual Runners: An option for those who wish to participate remotely.
Participants are welcome to complete the course by running or walking. Registration is available online until the morning of the event. For those who register by April 19, a commemorative race shirt is provided. Bib pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at St Thomas Aquinas High School, with an additional pickup window available on the morning of the event. In addition to race participation, the organization accepts donations through a dedicated fundraising platform to meet its scholarship goals.
