Background provided with the event notes that the honoree was a Sandwich, MA native who was killed during the September 11 attack on the Pentagon while on duty in the Navy Command Center. At the time of the attack he was in direct communication with the Secretary of the Navy coordinating the Navy’s response to the attacks on the World Trade Center. The material also notes that he enjoyed running and spending time on Cape Cod with family and friends. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
