Capital Pride Rainbow 5k Run Walk : Jennings Landing, Albany
The Capital Pride Rainbow 5k is presented by the Pride Center of the Capital Region and takes place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Jennings Landing in Albany, NY. The event is a family-friendly 5k (3.1 miles) run and walk held on the sanctioned Corning Preserve Course, with both the start and finish at the north entrance of the Jennings Landing amphitheater on the Hudson River.
The out-and-back route is run entirely on the pavement of the Mohawk Hudson Bike Trail. The course proceeds north through the Corning Preserve and Boat Launch areas, continues under the I-90 Patroon Island bridge, and turns around at exactly 2.5 km before returning to the amphitheater.
Walkers may start after the main group of runners; walkers are asked to stay to the right to allow faster runners to pass. Registration is available online and there are limited on-site registrations on Saturday, May 31. Prizes are awarded to the top participant in each identified gender category : man, woman, non-binary : for each age bracket. Additional awards recognize the best rainbow-themed gear and the best use of the word "Rainbow." All proceeds benefit the Pride Center of the Capital Region and its local programs and services.
