Event overview
The Capital City Classic 10K takes place Saturday, March 28, 2026, on Markham Street in downtown Little Rock. The event includes a 10K with Runner/Walker and Wheelchair/Handcycle categories, plus a free Kids' 1 Mile. Organizer fees listed are $35 for the 10K categories and $0 for the Kids' 1 Mile. The Kids' 1 Mile is open to ages 1 to 14 and has a registration deadline of March 25, 2026. Packet pickup is available Friday, March 27 at Rock City Running and on race day.

The Kids' Mile uses an out-and-back course that crosses the Broadway Bridge, which will be closed to traffic for the race; parents may run or walk with children. Every participant in the Kids' Mile and the 10K will receive a finisher medal. A pace team will be present with groups listed at 45, 50, 59, 70 and 80 minutes. An elite athlete program will award a prize purse of at least $6,000 to the top five male and top five female finishers, with final details to be set by January 1, 2026. Complimentary entries and possible travel assistance may be offered to athletes who have recently met specified performance standards.
