Capital City Classic 10K : Overview
The Capital City Classic 10K takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 in downtown Little Rock on Markham Street. The event includes multiple races and categories:
- 10K Runner/Walker
- 10K Wheelchair/Handcycle
- 1 Mile Kids (ages 1-14)
Entry fees listed for 2026 are $35 for the Runner/Walker and Wheelchair/Handcycle 10K events, and the Kids' 1 Mile is free. The kids event is open to ages 1 to 14 and supplies a t-shirt and medal to participants.
Event features
The kids race is an out-and-back course that crosses the Broadway Bridge, which will be closed to traffic during the race. All participants in both the kid's mile and the 10K will receive finisher medals. The race offers an Elite Athlete Program with prize money; the top five male and female finishers share a purse of at least $6,000, with final details to be set by January 1, 2026. Complimentary entries and possible travel assistance are available to athletes meeting recent performance standards.
The event will include a pace team with groups at 45, 50, 59, 70 and 80 minutes. Packet pickup is available Friday, March 27 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Rock City Running, and race-day pickup begins early on the day of the event.
