Capital City Classic 10K
The Capital City Classic 10K takes place in downtown Little Rock on Markham Street. It is described as Arkansas' oldest 10K and returned to a downtown course in 2022. The event was cancelled in 2023 due to a tornado, resumed in 2024, and continued to grow in 2025.
The event program includes:
- 10 km Runner/Walker and Wheelchair/Handcycle
- Kids' 1 Mile for ages 1 to 14, free
The Kids' Mile uses an out and back course that crosses the Broadway Bridge, which is closed to traffic for the race. Parents may run or walk with children, and all kids receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Every participant in the Kids' Mile and the 10K receives a finisher medal.
The 2026 race will feature at least five pace groups listed as 45, 50, 59, 70 and 80 minutes. An elite prize purse of $7,000 is offered for the top five male and top five female finishers, with individual payouts of $1,500, $1,000, $500, $350 and $150. Packet pickup is available at Rock City Running before race day and also on race day. A hotel block at the AC Hotel in downtown Little Rock offers discounted rates and is located close to the start and finish areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
