Capes 100
Capes 100 is a trail running event in Mabou, Nova Scotia, held August 7 to 9, 2026. The event features the first 100-mile trail race in Atlantic Canada and also offers shorter distance options. Courses run atop the Mabou Highlands and along the Atlantic Ocean, and include beaches, streams, and scenic vistas.
Offered distances:
- 160K (36 hour limit) - sold out
- 86K (22 hour limit) - sold out
- 46K (14 hour limit) - sold out
Registration fees include a Salomon Capes 100 technical running shirt, insurance, and eligibility for Salomon prize draws. The 160K entry also includes a finisher's buckle. Participants must be 19 years or older.
Waitlists for the distances are listed as sold out. Volunteer roles typically require an eight hour shift between Saturday morning and Sunday evening; volunteers receive a technical shirt, free camping, and entry into prize draws. A pacer option is offered to join a 100-mile runner at KM 110.
