About the race
Capes 100 takes place August 6–8, 2027 near Mabou, Nova Scotia, at 220 Angus Archie Rd on Cape Breton. The event uses trails on the Mabou Highlands and routes along the Atlantic Ocean, with beaches, streams, and coastal vistas noted on course descriptions. The organiser is listed as NS Trail Running.
Race distances offered:
- 160K with a 36 hour time limit; entry includes a Capes 100 running hat, running socks by Callus Athletics, insurance, and eligibility for sponsor prize draws; includes a finisher's buckle.
- 86K with a 22 hour time limit; entry includes a Capes 100 running hat, running socks by Callus Athletics, insurance, and eligibility for sponsor prize draws.

The event notes that participants must be at least 19 years old. Registration lists show 188 participants and several remaining spots across distances at the time of posting. Volunteer positions are described as roughly eight hour shifts between Saturday morning and Sunday evening, and include a technical running shirt, free camping, and entry in prize draws.
