Cape Fear River Run
The Cape Fear River Run is a multi-event running event held in Fayetteville, North Carolina, using the Cape Fear River Trail. The start and finish are at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Races use paved greenway trail sections and include on-course support. Pets are not allowed.
The event includes the following distances:
- Cape Fear 10k
- Cape Fear Half Marathon, 13.25 miles
- River Rage Double, completion of both races
The 10k route uses part of the Linear Park Trail and the Cape Fear River Trail and passes under one trail trestle. The half marathon traverses the Cape Fear River Trail, passes under two covered trestles and by a waterfall, and includes aid stations near Clark Park and at the turnaround. The River Rage Double combines the 10k and the half marathon for a single combined effort.
A limited VIP experience is offered for a small number of entrants and includes a private heated tent, VIP-only refreshments, bag storage, and a VIP line for early packet pickup. The event is presented by the Cape Fear River Run organizer and takes place in Fayetteville at 536 N. Eastern Blvd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
