Día de los Muertos 5K Fun Run/Walk
The event is a themed 5K run and walk held at Michigan State University Hubbard/Akers Courtyard in East Lansing on November 1, 2026. It is organized by the International Engagement Volunteers and the International Engagement in Mexico education abroad program. Proceeds support service-learning projects carried out by Michigan State University students through the organizing group.
There are in-person and virtual participation options. All participants receive a customized T-shirt; registering online by October 16 guarantees a T-shirt, and T-shirts on race day are available while supplies last. Medals are awarded to the first 100 finishers in the in-person race. Virtual registrants will receive a T-shirt and medal by mail.
Registration pricing is listed separately for students and the general public. Student pricing is $25 and general public pricing is $45. On-site registration retains the same prices as posted. In-person participants receive two food tickets. Students are asked to bring a valid Student ID to check in.
