Races and Events

The event features three race distances: 1K, 3K, and 5K. The races take place on July 1, 2026 at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario.

The start and finish are located on the East Lawn of the park, near the pier. The races are staged in the following order: the 1K at 8:30 AM, the 3K at 9:00 AM, and the 5K at 9:30 AM.

Registration and Options

The event offers in-person registration as well as a virtual race option. Registration fees include a finisher medal. For the in-person 3K and 5K races, a technical t-shirt is included. A $5 discount is offered for participants aged 16 and under and seniors aged 65 and over for the 3K and 5K.

Free entries and group offers are available upon request via email. Strollers are permitted, but participants with a stroller are asked to start at the back of the starting corral.

Fundraising and Charity

The event supports several charitable organizations, including the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, McMaster Children's Hospital, and Hamilton Food Share. Registration for the 1K includes a $20 donation to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation. Monetary donations and non-perishable food drives are also part of the event.

Practical Logistics

Race kit and bib pickup is available on several dates and at various locations, including on race day starting at 7:00 AM at the park. Chip timing results for the 3K and 5K races will be available on the Speed River Timing website. The event will be held rain or shine and is only cancelled in the event of extreme conditions.
