Canada Day Races
The Canada Day Races take place in Burlington on July 1, 2027, with the venue at Spencer Smith Park - East Lawn, 1400 Lakeshore Road. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options.

In-person 3K and 5K entries include a technical Canada Day t-shirt. The in-person 1K registration includes a finisher medal and requests a donation to Joseph Brant Hospital; a t-shirt for the 1K is available for purchase. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal, a Canada Day shirt and a race kit with shipping available for an extra fee. The virtual race window runs from June 1, 2027 to July 31, 2027.
The 3K and 5K are chip timed and race timing is provided by Speed River Timing. Race kits and bibs must be picked up before lining up; pickup is available at the Burlington Running Room store on June 27 and June 30, and there is a race day pickup option at Spencer Smith Park. Runners must pin their bib to the front of their shirt to take part.
A $5 age discount applies for youths 16 and under and for seniors 65 and over. Strollers are permitted but are asked to start at the back of the corral. If the in-person event is cancelled for extreme conditions, registrants will be switched to the virtual race and no refunds will be issued.
