Canada Day Races : Burlington, July 1, 2026
The event takes place on July 1, 2026 at Spencer Smith Park - East Lawn in Burlington, ON. Distances offered include:
- 1K
- 3K
- 5K
There are both in-person and virtual participation options. The virtual race can be completed anytime between June 1, 2026 and July 8, 2056; virtual registrants receive a finisher medal, Canada Day shirt and a race kit, with shipping charged extra. The 3K and 5K are chip timed by Speed River Timing and results are published by the timing provider.
Race kits and bibs are available for pickup at multiple locations before the event and on race day, including the Burlington Running Room store and Avella Pain and Injury Clinic at Leon Medical Centre, as well as at Spencer Smith Park. The in-person Canada Day 1K registration includes a required $20 donation to Joseph Brant Hospital and a finisher medal; shirts are available for purchase. In-person 3K and 5K entries include a technical Canada Day t-shirt. A $5 age discount applies to participants aged 16 and under and to those 65 and over.
Strollers are permitted with the request that stroller runners start at the back of the corral. The event proceeds rain or shine, and in-person cancellations due to extreme conditions may result in transfer to the virtual race without refunds. Non-perishable food will be collected at the race and donations support the Joseph Brant Hospital MHA program and Hamilton Food Share.
