The event supports Valour Place, a military and first responder house that provides short-term accommodation for Canadian Forces members, Veterans, police, families of the fallen, first responders, and their immediate families who live outside the greater Edmonton area. Valour Place states it has provided over 30,000 nights of accommodation since 2012.

All 15K and 5K participants receive a Canada Day souvenir and a finishers medal; 2.5K participants receive a commemorative finishers medal. Virtual entries are shipped to participants; in-store pick-up is not available.
