Canada Day Edmonton 2026
Canada Day Edmonton is an annual community sporting event held at the Alberta Legislature Grounds. Scheduled for July 1, 2026, the event takes place at the Legislature Building Road Northwest in Edmonton. The gathering focuses on celebrating the national holiday through various running and walking activities.
The event features several distance options to accommodate different participants:
- 15 km (Run and Walk)
- 5 km (Fun Run and Walk)
- 2.5 km (Family Fun Event, limited to 2-4 family members)
- Virtual Event (Completed remotely with materials shipped to the participant)
Participants in the 15 km, 5 km, and virtual categories receive a Canada Day hat and a finisher's medal. Those participating in the 2.5 km family event receive a commemorative finisher's medal.
This event supports Wellspring Alberta, a provincial charity providing support, resources, and programs for individuals living with cancer and their caregivers.
