Camp Jewell 5K Fun Run/Walk & Kids 1M
The event is a 5K run/walk at Camp Jewell in Colebrook, Connecticut, with a separate one mile kids run that is not timed. The 5K course begins and ends at the Thunderdome on the camp grounds and follows a mix of camp roads, driveway sections, and wooded trails.
The route includes a loop around central camp buildings, travel along the main camp drive, passage onto the wooded trail system, and crossing a covered bridge. Runners climb toward the Hide-A-Way site and continue to Ranch Camp, then descend the ranch driveway and run briefly on McClave Road and Prock Hill Road before reentering the trails. The final approach passes the zipline and ski hill and returns to the main field and Thunderdome.
Course terrain contains rolling hills and varied surfaces that include camp drive sections and wooded singletrack. The event notes a T shirt for participants who register by June 6. Pre entry fee is $30 before June 6 and increases to $35 afterward. The kids fun run is free.
