H-E-B Cameron Park Zoo Stampede
The H-E-B Cameron Park Zoo Stampede is a multi-distance running and virtual cycling event held at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas (1701 North 4th Street). Registration was limited to 850 participants and the event is sold out. The event program includes timed races, an untimed fun run, and virtual cycling options.
Distances offered:
- 1K fun run, untimed
- 5K chip-timed race with awards and age groups
- 10K chip-timed race with awards and age groups
- Virtual cycling: 10 mile, 25 mile, 50 mile options
Packet pick-up was available before the event at the zoo education center and on-site at the zoo entry plaza. Unclaimed packets were held at the zoo ticket office for 30 days; packet shipping was offered for a $15 processing fee. Presenting the race bib granted zoo admission on race day only.
Shirts were included for some entries: the 5K entry included a short-sleeved cotton shirt, the 10K included a long-sleeved technical shirt, and 1K entries did not include a shirt but a shirt purchase option was available during registration. Both the 5K and 10K were chip-timed and listed as USATF certified courses. Awards were given for overall and age-group placings, including masters categories.
