Camel Color 5K
The Camel Color 5K is an annual event. It includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile event. Both events start at Campbell County High School in Alexandria, Kentucky. The 5K route goes out to Old US 27 and loops back to the high school.
During the 5K, purple and gold colored powder is thrown at participants. The event benefits the Campbell County High School Band Programs.
Registration fees vary. Early bird fees are $35 for adults for the 5K and $25 for the 1 mile run. Prices increase on March 17, 2026. Race day fees are higher. Optional t-shirts are available for an extra cost if ordered by April 1. A "Sleep In" registration option is offered for those who cannot attend the live event.
Packet pickup is available on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm at Campbell County High School. Race day check in is from 7:30 am to 8:45 am.
Awards are given for the 5K to the top three overall males and females and the top three in each age division. For the 1 Mile, awards are given for the fastest male and female times. Teams of five or more can receive a $5 discount per person on registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
