Cambridge Mill Race event information
The Cambridge Mill Race takes place at Riverbluffs Park on the Walter Bean Grand River Trail in Cambridge, Ontario. The main course is an out-and-back on the Walter Bean Trail, part of the Trans Canada system. The surface is mainly hard-packed dirt and stone dust with some asphalt sections. The turn-around point is on the paved bike path alongside Blair Road.
Distances offered:
- 1 km Chipmunk Chase (kids, not timed)
- 8 km Cambridge Mill Race (chip timed, out-and-back)
Water stations are located at the start/finish and at the 3 km and 5 km marks. Compostable cups will be available and participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. All participants receive a branded souvenir and the 1 km finishers receive a medal; all finishers will receive awards and the 8 km has awards for top overall male, female, and non-binary finishers.
A post-race meal is provided by The Cambridge Mill and participants receive a meal ticket in their race kit. Post-race massages and complimentary coffee are available. The event welcomes requests for accessibility accommodations. Participant parking is not available at Riverbluffs Park; parking is available on George Street and nearby streets. Any funds raised in excess of race costs will go to Pollinator Partnership Canada. Volunteers are welcome and student volunteer hours can be signed off.
