Call to Duty Memorial 10K & 5K
The Call to Duty Memorial event takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Gorham, New Hampshire. It features two separate races over measured road courses. The event proceeds support the Call To Duty Memorial Scholarship Fund and the perpetual care of the memorial.
The 10K course follows the same route used until the early 2000s for the James Gang 10K and provides a decline in elevation of 574 feet from the starting line to the finish. The 10K is USATF certified (NH23006BK). The 5K is not certified at this time. The 10K start is on Route 16 near the Great Gulf Wilderness Trailhead in Greens Grant/Gorham. The 5K start is at the US Forest Service Ranger Station on Glen Road in Gorham. Both races finish at the Gorham Common by the information booth.
Parking is available at the finish area and a shuttle is provided to the start; there are limited parking spaces at the start. Entry fees vary by registration period with a youth discount for ages 17 and under. T-shirts are included for the first 100 registrants. Raffle tickets are available and each racer receives one free ticket. Course safety measures include marked routes, volunteers and police or fire personnel on course, water stations, and medical personnel on site.
The organizing committee has awarded scholarships to over 51 students and distributed more than $28,250 to support education for public safety careers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
