Calgary Police Classic - Overview
The 46th running of the Calgary Police Classic takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Cowboys Park. Formerly the Calgary Police Half Marathon, this fall road race offers an onsite event on September 19 and a virtual race option from September 20 to October 18.
Distances offered:
- Kids Race for ages 2 to 12
- 8 km
- 21.1 km half marathon with a minimum age of 14
Strollers are permitted in the 8 km and 21.1 km events. The half-marathon course is described as fast and flat. Packet pick-up is scheduled at The Military Museums on September 17 and September 18.
In-person participants receive a long-sleeve technical shirt, a personalized bib if registered before the cutoff date of September 6, chip timing, a results leaderboard, and awards for top finishers. Included services feature free bag and bike check, aid stations every 3 km for the half marathon and every 4 km for the 8 km, food and drink at the finish festival, professional photos, and on-course entertainment.
An optional finisher medal is available for the 8 km and 21.1 km as part of a sustainability initiative; all Kids Race participants receive a medal. The event raises funds for the Calgary Police Youth Foundation and has raised $146,000 to date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
