Courir à la Musique 8K at Festival Acadiens et Créoles
Courir à la Musique 8K is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at Girard Park in Lafayette, LA as part of the Festival Acadiens et Créoles. The event is offered as an in-person 8K and a virtual 8K, and there is also an in-person no-swag entry option.
Registration opens March 9, 2026. Online registration follows a tiered fee schedule: $45 through July 14, $50 from July 15 to August 18, $55 from August 19 to October 8, and a packet pick-up and race day rate of $60. The virtual entry fee is listed at $45. A $5 discount is available for Cajun Road Runners Club members; that discount does not apply to the virtual option. A Triple Crown registration combining three races qualifies entrants for Cajun Road Runners swag; requests to switch to the Triple Crown should be made by October 24, 2026 to guarantee swag.
A youth discount is available to participants 12 and under; the discounted registration fee is $35 and the discount is applied automatically when the birthdate is entered. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, October 9 with race day pickup also available. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group, including 12 & Under, 13–19, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 plus, with additional 10-year increments added as needed.
