Cadillac YMCA Festival of Races
The Cadillac Festival of Races takes place in Cadillac, Michigan, with activities centered around the Cadillac Rotary Pavilion. This multi-sport event features a range of distances and disciplines, including running and swimming. The proceeds from the event support the Cadillac Area YMCA's 7th grade membership program.
Participants can choose from several competitive and recreational distances:
- Full Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k Run (6.2 miles)
- 7 Mile Relay Run
- 5k Run (3.1 miles)
- 1/4 Mile Swim Race
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (ages 8 and under)
The full and half marathon courses are designated as fast and flat, with the marathon serving as a Boston Marathon Qualifier. The 5k and 10k races follow an out and back course starting at the pavilion and traveling along Lake Cadillac. The 7 mile relay run circles the lake, and transportation for relay drop-off and pick-up is provided.
The event has a course limit of 6.5 hours. Participants who register by August 15th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age bracket, and finisher medals are provided to participants. Transportation to start lines from the check-in area is available.
