Event details
The CAC Root Beer Float Run is a multi-event community run held at Bell Works, 2000 Center Dr, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192. The event program includes the following distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual 5K
- Kids 50-yard dash (free)
5K and 10K registration includes an event t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. All participants are offered a complimentary root beer float after completing the course. Strollers are welcome, with stroller runners asked to start near the back. The event is not pet-friendly; police department comfort dogs will be in attendance.
Logistics and organizer
Day-of parking must use Lake Wood Blvd to access Bell Works and attendees are directed to east side parking. Central Road entrances will be closed for the run. Race packet pick-up takes place inside Bell Works Chicagoland. Sponsorship opportunities for local businesses start at $250.
The event is organized by the Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County. The CAC was established in 1989, is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, and serves 38 north and northwest suburbs.
