Day-of parking requires use of Lake Wood Blvd to access Bell Works, with east side parking designated for the event. Central Road entrances will be closed for the run.
All participants are eligible to receive a complimentary root beer float after completing the course. Registration for the 5K and 10K includes an event t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; registration by Friday, May 23 is recommended to guarantee shirt size. Packet pick-up is located inside Bell Works Chicagoland at the event address.
The event is presented as family-friendly. All children may participate in the 50-yard dash, and 5K registration is open to kids through age 12 at discounted pricing; children 12 and under are recommended to run with an adult. Strollers are welcome with stroller runners asked to start near the back. The run is not pet-friendly; police department partners will have comfort dogs in attendance, so participants are asked to keep pets at home.

About the organizer: the Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County was established in 1989 to support children who have been victims of or witnesses to violence. The center is accredited by the National Children's Alliance and serves 38 north and northwest suburbs of Chicago.
