CAC Root Beer Float Run
The CAC Root Beer Float Run takes place on June 13, 2026 at Busse Woods Grove #27, 331 S Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The event includes multiple race formats and family activities in the same park setting.

- Virtual 5K with optional shirt and medal add on

In-person 5K and the event named "10K" include an event shirt, a finisher medal and a complimentary root beer float. Virtual participants do not automatically receive a medal and shirt; those items can be added during registration. Overall finisher pins and age group pins will be awarded to top finishers.
Registration opens January 5, 2026. In-person 5K and 10K registration closes May 1, 2026. Virtual and kids registrations close on June 13, 2026. Listed fees in the event details are $40 for the event named 10K, $35 for the 5K, $25 for the virtual 5K, and free for the kids dash.
Strollers are welcome and runners pushing strollers will be asked to start near the back. The event is not pet friendly; police department partners will have comfort dogs in attendance.
