Details
Registration opened January 5, 2026, with early bird pricing available until May 9. The Virtual 5K is open to ages 5 and up. 5K and 10K registrations include an event t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; registrants who want a guaranteed shirt size should register by May 23. Strollers are permitted; runners pushing strollers will be asked to start near the back. The event is not pet-friendly; comfort dogs will be present.
Day-of parking requires using Lake Wood Blvd to access Bell Works; attendees should use east side parking because central road entrances will be closed. Race packet pick-up is inside Bell Works Chicagoland.
Organizer and purpose
The event is organized by the Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County. The CAC provides services for children who have been victims of or witnesses to violence and serves 38 north and northwest Chicago suburbs. Sponsorship levels for local businesses start at $250.
