Cabrini Monarch 5K and Fun Run : Allen Park, MI
The Cabrini Monarch event is an annual public running event held on and around the Cabrini campus at 15305 Wick Rd, Allen Park, Michigan. The route begins on the school campus and passes through the adjacent Allen Park neighborhood. The event includes these distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Both events are open to all ages. Advance online registration opens April 1. The early registration price through May 22 is $30 and includes a t-shirt; registrations after May 22 are $35 and a t-shirt is not guaranteed. The 1-mile fun run has a separate lower fee and includes a goody bag but not a t-shirt. On-site registration is available on race day for $35.
Race-day services include bottled water at the start and finish and a water station on the course. Race awards and 5K top-three finisher medals for each group are distributed after the 5K. Participants must display a bib on the front of their outermost garment; those without a bib will not be allowed to finish. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted. Parking is available near the Cabrini Center, on nearby side streets, and at Allen Park Middle School. Proceeds benefit Cabrini schools and the Cabrini High School Track and Cross Country teams. Volunteers are used for race-day tasks.
