BVRMC AWARE 5K
The 19th annual BVRMC AWARE 5K is a community walk and run presented by Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa. The course begins and ends at the hospital and follows a portion of Storm Lake's lake. Proceeds support people in treatment for cancer at BVRMC. Donations are accepted at the time of registration.
Two event options are offered and each entry includes a short sleeve shirt. Registration opens June 11, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026. Registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the kids run. The kids event is for ages 10 and under; children in strollers do not need separate registration.
Course rules restrict animals and certain equipment on the route: no dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, scooters, or bikes are allowed on the course. The event takes place at 1525 West 5th Street, Storm Lake, IA 50588. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
