Buxton Carnival 4: Saturday 11 July 2026
The Buxton Carnival 4 is an accurately measured 4-mile road race through the streets of Buxton held on Carnival Day. The course runs from New Wye Street and finishes on the Market Place. The event is organised under UK Athletics rules and a licence has been applied for. Race headquarters are at Buxton Conservative Club and entrants are advised to allow at least 10 minutes to travel from Race HQ to the start.
Entry is open to those aged 16 and over on 10 April 2026. The advertised entry fee is £12 and UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount on validation. Entries close on 10 July 2026. Remaining places and booking fees are managed through the event entry system.
Race numbers must be collected from Race HQ on the day. Parents collecting numbers for participants under 18 must sign to accept the event terms and the conditions of entry. No refunds or transfers are available. Prizes should be collected at the prizegiving or arranged for collection by a named representative.
For safety the organiser requires competitors to follow marshal instructions. Entrants with medical conditions should mark their race number and carry any necessary medication. Personal and medical details may be released to the organiser or statutory authorities in a medical emergency.
The race is dedicated to the memory of a former junior member of the club. Any monies raised will support a foundation that provides accommodation and outdoor respite for children and young people with additional needs at White Hall Outdoor Education Centre.
