Buxton Carnival 4
The Buxton Carnival 4 is an accurately measured 4-mile road race through the streets of Buxton held on Saturday 11 July 2026 during Carnival Day. The course starts on New Wye Street and finishes on the Market Place. The event is being organised under UK Athletics rules and a licence has been applied for.
Race headquarters are at Buxton Conservative Club (what3words ///resides.stirs.shunted). The race start location is on New Wye Street (what3words ///skewed.hoaxes.craftsman). Competitors are asked to allow at least 10 minutes to travel from race HQ to the start. All race numbers are to be collected from Race HQ on the day; parents collecting numbers for participants under 18 must sign to accept the event terms and conditions.
Entry is for participants aged 16 and over (age on 10 July 2026). Entries close on Friday 10 July 2026 at 18:00. The entry fee is £12.00, with a booking fee of 4.8% (minimum £0.60); UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount on validation of membership. No refunds are available for this event. The organiser retains the right to change or cancel aspects of the event for safety reasons without offering a refund.
Proceeds from the race will contribute to a foundation that provides accommodation and outdoor activity opportunities for children and young people with additional needs at White Hall Outdoor Education Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
