About the race
Butterfly Run Prince Rupert is a memorial walk and run held on October 3, 2026 at Rotary Waterfront Park in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The event is organized by Butterfly Support Network to raise awareness and funds for programs that support people affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss across BC. All proceeds support the network's bereavement programs.

- 3 km run/walk
Run and walk routes follow the waterfront into Cow Bay and the Rotary Walkway. The run continues onto Rushbrook Trail with a turnaround at the first bridge; the walk turns back at Charlie Currie Road. Signage is posted along the routes and participants may choose a shorter walk route or return partway through the run loop.
Paid adult registrations include a participant race kit and t-shirt, with an option to decline the race kit or t-shirt during registration. Children's registration is free for those under 12 but race kits and shirts are not included; youth shirts can be purchased for CA$15 at registration. T shirt size requests are guaranteed only if submitted by September 1. Race registrations are non refundable. If the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds will not be issued but race kits and shirts will still be provided.
Pre event race kit pickup is scheduled for October 2 at 920 9th Ave East and additional pickup is available at Rotary Waterfront Park on event day. Parking is available at Rotary Waterfront Park or on Bill Murray Drive at 1st Avenue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
