Butterfly Run Prince Rupert : description
Butterfly Run Prince Rupert is a memorial walk/run taking place on October 3, 2026 at Rotary Waterfront Park in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. This inaugural event is organized by Butterfly Support Network to support people affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss.
The event offers two distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 3 km Run/Walk
All proceeds fund Butterfly Support Network programs for bereaved parents across British Columbia. The official routes are to be determined; signage will be posted along the course and participants may choose the shorter walk route or return part way through the run loop at any time.
Adult registrations include a participant race kit and t-shirt, with an option to decline the kit. The deadline to guarantee preferred t-shirt sizes is September 1. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; children's t-shirts can be purchased at registration for CA$15. Registrations are non-refundable; if the event becomes entirely virtual, refunds will not be issued but race kits and shirts will still be provided.
Race kit pickup will be available before the event (details to be confirmed) and on event day. Parking is available at Rotary Waterfront Park or up Bill Murray Drive at 1st Avenue.
