About the race
Butterfly Run Prince Rupert is a memorial walk and run organized by Butterfly Support Network on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Rotary Waterfront Park in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. The event is presented as the inaugural Butterfly Run Prince Rupert and is intended to create community, raise awareness, and fundraise for programs that support people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. All proceeds support Butterfly Support Network programs for bereaved parents across British Columbia.

Adult registrations include a participant race kit and a t-shirt by default, with an option to decline the race kit or t-shirt during registration. The deadline to guarantee a preferred adult t-shirt size is September 1. Children under 12 are free but must be registered; race kits and t-shirts are not included for children and a children sized t-shirt can be purchased for $15.00 at registration. Race registrations are non refundable. If the event is held entirely virtually due to circumstances beyond organizer control, refunds will not be issued but participants will still receive their race kit and shirt.
Route details are to be determined, with signage planned along the course and the option for participants to shorten their route or return part way through the run loop. Parking is available at Rotary Waterfront Park and nearby Bill Murray Drive at 1st Avenue. Light refreshments and snacks are listed for after the event and entertainment is planned.
