Butte Challenge : Hermiston, Oregon
The Butte Challenge is the 26th annual community run and walk held at Butte Park in Hermiston, Oregon. The course circles the streets and neighborhoods surrounding Hermiston Butte. Proceeds benefit the Hermiston Cross Country program and youth running in Hermiston.

The 5K and 10K races are chip timed. A free kids mile starts with the other races, takes a cut turn at the Aquatic Center, and does not require prior registration. Finishers receive custom Butte medals and a gift bag. Participants who pre-register are entered into drawings for door prizes donated by local sponsors; door prizes are available for pickup after the event.
Additional event features include technical shirts available for purchase with an order deadline of May 30, a family package option for immediate family members who enter together, and race-day volunteers from the Hermiston Cross Country program handing out water and goodie bags at the finish.
