Burton Memorial Day 5k
The Burton Memorial Day 5k is an annual running event held at Atherton High School in Burton, Michigan. The event began in the mid 1990s and continues to be organized each Memorial Day.
The program includes multiple race options:
- 5k Run, 3.1 Miles, $20 registration
- 5k Walk, 3.1 Miles, $20 registration
- Kids 1/2 mile, 0.5 Miles, $5 registration
- Virtual 5k, 5K, $20 registration
Registration windows for the on-site 5k Run and 5k Walk open on January 1, 2026 and close on March 31, 2026. Virtual 5k registration opens on February 25, 2026 and closes on May 25, 2026. Kids race registration opens on January 1, 2026 and closes on May 25, 2026.
Proceeds are allocated to local school and community groups, including Bendle Tiger Youth Football, Bentley Robotics, Atherton Theatre Group, Burton VFW Post 2777, Burton Veterans Memorial, and the Burton Police Department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
