Burton Leonard 10k
The Burton Leonard 10k is a multi-terrain running event held in the village of Burton Leonard, located near Ripon. The course follows a single-lap circular route that features an undulating profile. Participants run through a variety of landscapes including tracks, woods, and fields within the Mountgarret Estate.
The event utilizes chip timing for all participants and is fully marshalled to ensure course safety. There are two water stations located along the route, and distance markers are placed to assist runners. Because of the terrain and the nature of the course, this race is not suitable for wheelchair users.
The following distances are available:
- 10 km main race
- 2 km chip timed junior race
The race headquarters is situated at Burton Leonard Primary School. Facilities at the headquarters include toilets and a medical team, with additional medical support available along the route. Refreshments are available at the school site. Please note that the venue does not provide changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Participation is limited to 200 entrants.
