Event overview
The Bursting Bubble 5K Walk & Run takes place on May 3, 2026, at John Rudy County Park, 400 Mundis Race Road, York, PA 17406. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. General registration is priced at $40. Youth tickets for ages 8-17 are $35; children under 8 are free but must be registered. Full registration includes a race day shirt (unless the option to decline a shirt is selected), a swag bag while supplies last, and a bib number with a timing chip. Purpose and features
The event is organized to raise awareness and provide financial support for Chasing the Rainbows and its bereavement services. Funds support 11 daily, free services, including virtual support groups, in-person groups, peer mentors, trauma therapy, a podcast, care packages, mindful movement, online chat communities, family resources, perinatal bereavement training for medical units, and community events. The course is an out-and-back route with a marked turnaround point and volunteers along the route. Strollers are welcome. Dogs are allowed if leashed; owners must clean up after them. Parking is free in the park’s marked lots. The event area will include a Wall to Remember, live entertainment, vendors, food trucks, raffles, face painting, and a live DJ.
