Event Overview
The Chasing the Rainbows Bursting Bubble 5K Walk & Run takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The in-person event is held at John Rudy County Park in York, Pennsylvania. There is also an option to participate virtually.
The Cause
This event is dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for families grieving infertility, pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss. It takes place on Bereaved Mother's Day weekend. Registration fees directly support the organizer's 11 free, trauma-informed services, which include virtual and in-person support groups, peer mentors, therapy, and community resources.
Event Details
The event includes a 5K distance for walking and running. The course is an out-and-back route with a designated turnaround point and volunteers stationed along the way. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome. On-site registration will be available on the day of the event.
On-Site Activities
The gathering features a "Wall to Remember" tribute. There will also be live entertainment, a DJ, food trucks, vendors, raffles, bubbles, and face painting.
Participant Information
Registration includes a race day t-shirt (if registered by April 1, 2026), a swag bag, and a bib number with a timing chip. Parking at the park is free.
